In all that we do, UMSU continues to respectfully acknowledge the True Owners of the lands on which we operate. We pay respect to Elders past, present and emerging, and extend that respect to all First Nations people. We acknowledge that sovereignty was never ceded. This always was and always will be, Aboriginal land.
It is a Students’ Council directive that UMSU use Traditional place names in addresses for all mail deliveries. This directive also applies to email signatures which must include Traditional place names as well as an Acknowledgement of Country.
